Homemade conditioners for coloured hair

Coloured hair needs a little extra care to look shiny, soft and full of life. It is best to condition coloured hair at least once a week. This way your hair stays protected and healthy giving the colour a lustrous look. Here are some natural conditioners that people love:

Avocado conditioner

Take half a ripe avocado (mashed), 3 teaspoons of rosemary or lavender oil and half a teaspoon of coconut oil. Mix all the ingredients together and apply this natural conditioner to your hair down to the tips. Rinse with lukewarm water after 20 minutes and enjoy soft hair.

Egg and honey conditioner

Mix together an egg and 1 teaspoon of honey in a bowl with 3 or 4 teaspoons of coconut oil. Gently apply it to the hair and scalp and leave the mix on for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. Your hair will have a lovely bounce to it.

Mint conditioner

Boil a bowl of fresh mint leaves in 2-3 glasses of water and strain it well. Allow the water to cool and then rinse your hair with the water after shampooing. The water not only conditions hair but also leaves you feeling refreshed.
